Richard Baxter’s Treatises

We are very pleased to announce the publication of The Richard Baxter Treatises: A Catalogue and Guide by Alan Argent, with Boydell & Brewer.

The catalogue, with a foreword by N. H. Keeble, comprises a summary of the contents of the treatises, as well as an introduction, a bibliography and indexes. It provides an invaluable guide to the Baxter holding at Dr Williams’s Library, which are of vital importance in Dissenting history.

To order:

Two other major Baxter projects are in preparation (with OUP): a complete edition of Reliquiæ Baxterianæ, led by N. H. Keeble (check out the virtual exhibition associated with the project here), and of Baxter’s correspondence, by Johanna Harris and Alison Searle (see EMLO page).
